Install Skype on CentOS 8 / RHEL 8
Skype for RHEL family is available as an RPM package from the Skype website. Your work is to download and install it with yum or dnf command.
Step 1: Download Skype RPM Package
The easiest and quickest way to install Skype on CentOS 8 / RHEL 8 workstation is by using the RPM package. Download it with curl command:
curl -SLo skypeforlinux-64.rpm https://go.skype.com/skypeforlinux-64.rpm
Step 2: Install Skype on CentOS 8 / RHEL 8
Once the download is completed, use yum or dnf tool to install Skype on CentOS 8 / RHEL 8.
sudo dnf install skypeforlinux-64.rpmPress the “y” key when prompted to begin installation.
