The CCNP Enterprise certification requires passing two exams: ENCOR 350-401 (core) and one concentration exam, with ENARSI 300-410 (advanced routing) being the most popular choice. Both exams received 2nd edition Official Cert Guides in October 2023 from Cisco Press. If you are studying with first editions from 2019-2020, you are missing content that the current exams test. CCNP and CCIE Enterprise Core ENCOR 350-401 Official Cert Guide, 2nd Edition
Brad Edgeworth, Ramiro Garza Rios, Jason Gooley, and David Hucaby’s 1,072-page guide is the only Cisco-approved self-study resource for the ENCOR exam. The 2nd edition covers enterprise network architecture, virtualization, infrastructure (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), network assurance, security (ISE, TrustSec), and automation (NETCONF, RESTCONF, Python scripting). Each chapter includes “Do I Know This Already?” quizzes, key topics tables, and review questions. The companion website provides practice exams and video training.
This is a serious study commitment. Most candidates spend 3-6 months with this book alongside lab practice. The depth is necessary because ENCOR tests both conceptual understanding and practical application.

CCNP Enterprise Advanced Routing ENARSI 300-410 Official Cert Guide, 2nd Edition
Raymond Lacoste and Brad Edgeworth’s 1,104-page guide covers advanced routing with EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP, plus VRF, MPLS, DMVPN, IPv6 security, control plane policing, and IP SLA tracking. The 2nd edition rewrites the VRF chapter for both IPv4 and IPv6, adds IPv6 security features, and includes 200+ practice questions. If you choose ENARSI as your concentration exam (most candidates do), this is the only book you need alongside hands-on lab time.

Pass ENCOR first because it covers the broadest range of enterprise networking topics. Then tackle ENARSI while the routing fundamentals from ENCOR are still fresh. Supplement both books with hands-on lab practice using GNS3 or Cisco Modeling Labs.
