After yay is installed, use it to install Boostnote on your Arch Linux / Manjaro workstation.

How to install Boostnote Markdown editor on Ubuntu / Debian

For Ubuntu and Debian Linux distributions, Boostnote is installable from a .deb package provided by Boostnote development team. Check the Downloads page for the most recent package and download it.

wget https://github.com/BoostIO/boost-releases/releases/download/v0.11.12/boostnote_0.11.12_amd64.deb

Install required dependencies:

sudo apt install gconf-service gconf-service-backend gconf2 gconf2-common libgconf-2-4

And finally install Boostnote using dpkg command.

$ sudo dpkg -i boostnote_0.11.12_amd64.deb

If you experience dependency issues while installing, first fix them by running:

sudo apt -f install

To launch installed Boostnote Markdown editor use your distro Applications launcher and create your first note.
