Persepolis is a free and open source download manager written in Python. It can also be used as a GUI for Aria2. Persepolis has been developed to run on GNU/Linux distributions, BSDs, MacOS and Microsoft Windows.

Install Persepolis Download Manager on Ubuntu 18.04
Persepolis Download Manager is available on a PPA repository maintained by Persepolis developers. Add it to your Ubuntu 18.04 using the command below.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:persepolis/ppa
After adding the repository, update your package list and install Persepolis on Ubuntu 18.04.
sudo apt update
sudo apt install -y persepolis
Launching Persepolis Download Manager on Ubuntu 18.04
Now that you have Persepolis Download Manager installed on Ubuntu 18.04, launch it from applications search menu.
Test by adding Download URL using the + button
Hit the OK button to start download, or “Download Later” to add it to the queue for later downloading.
