When you are in the finder, chances are you are trying to locate a certain file or an image. Instead of having to open it fully, which takes time, you can utilize the space bar. By pressing this when you have highlighted a file, it will preview it for you so you can check if the file you’re on is the one you actually need. This can make a lot of processes a lot faster and save you time when you’re trying to get things done.

Show recent applications for easier browsing

As most Mac users know, you have a bottom toolbar that will show your pinned apps that you use regularly. You also have a tool called the “dock” which can be found under system settings. This adds a divider to your dock and lets you see the apps you have recently opened but aren’t pinned. Not only does it mean you have access to more apps at your fingertips, it also shows you the ones you might be using or need that you haven’t currently saved and can then do so.
